Well - Being

There's a few simple things we can do to support our wellbeing and health. These are often called 'protective factors'.

  1. Sleep - Getting a good quality sleep is really important to protect our mental health
  2. Stress - Finding activities that release stress - can be going for a walk, reading a book, puzzles and games.
  3. Nutrition - Eating a range of foods and ensuring we're giving our bodies good nutrients.
  4. Social Activities - Creating connections with family, friends and in our communities
  5. Physical Activity - Moving our bodies regularly helps improve our mental health
  6. Emotional Support - Trusted family and friends to talk to.
  7. Skill Development - Learning new skills helps support our mental health.

Here's a great video from the NHS showing ways we can help look after our wellbeing and mental health.

Here's some charities and websites that can help support your mental health

Both Riders Minds and Sporting Wellness offer free Help lines and Advice.

Sporting Wellness also offer online CBT and Professional Counselling.

If you feel you want support in a more focused area, there's lots of different charities all over the country with tailored support.

The Hub of Hope app and website allows you to search both by your area and specific needs to find support that suits you best.
